April 06, 2016: A truck driver and a pedestrian in Victoria had a miraculous near miss after an oncoming truck failed to see a tree that had fallen on the road on a blind corner.The terrifying encounter at Carlisle River, Victoria, two weeks ago has been described as "a true brown pants moment" on the Dash Cam Owners Australia Facebook page, where a video of the smash was shared overnight.It is filmed from the dash of another truck, after the driver pulls up on a bush road to check on the woman, Helen, who is standing beside her car after driving over a large tree that has blocked both lanes.The pair are talking when suddenly around the bend comes a speeding truck heading towards them.

“I honestly don’t know how close it go to me, I just ran,” she said.Helen only had praise for the truck driver, whose evasive action prevented him from running into the truck on the opposite side of the road.“He didn't do anything wrong, the log was across the road, you couldn't avoid the log.”Facebook users also praised the truckie's driving skills which may have prevented further damage and injury.
Victoria police said it was lucky for everyone concerned that nothing more serious happened.“Just by looking on the outside of things yeah to get through that and Tony come through the middle of them all, it's certainly been a very lucky day for everyone concerned,” Senior Sergeant Wayne Dennehy said.
